Published in 1991, Jeanne was shot and produced at the age of 25 in 1965, when Araki was working as an advertising cameraman for Dentsu, and was originally a private edition with prints directly pasted on four scrapbooks. The original is lost, but a film with all the pages copied was found, which led to the publication of this book.
