Publishing house KERMESSE collaborates with designer Dirk Meylaerts on a custom-made pearwood stool echoing the shape and proportions of the LACK — an infamously iconic white, melamine-coated chipboard coffee table, mass-produced by IKEA since 1979. As a formal nod to the idiotic existence of “coffee table books,” a packed ream of A3 paper is embedded into its carved surface, serving as a cushion.
