“BOOK” TAPE
A limited edition of 30 audio tapes imagined by Victor Unwin along with publisher KERMESSE and bookshop Cahier Central.

BOOK is a two-track audio tape exploring the meditative potentialities of literature – and books in general. Whether it be a novel, a poem, a recipe book, or an instruction manual for a washing machine, printed text allows one’s mind to dwell into alternative systems of reality, in which a certain state of inner peace can be found.

Track 1, “MEDITATION FOR BOOKS”, is an experimental ambient composition meant to be listened during the act of reading.

Track 2, “BOOKS FOR MEDITATION”, is a spoken word composition in which Victor Unwin develops a short list of books that contain, to his opinion, a high degree of meditative potential.
